Howl

Howl complete 2nd album 'Bloodlines'; Spring tour announced

Providence, Rhode Island riff manglers, Howl, recently completed the recording of their upcoming new full-length. Titled 'Bloodlines', the bands sophomore offering was recorded at Planet Z studio in Hadley, Massachusetts, produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Soulfly, Crowbar, Municipal Waste, 3 Inches Of Blood et al) and offers up 10 tracks of lead-footed audio menace.

Comments the band on the results: "'Bloodlines' is Howl 2.0/Howl on steroids/the bigger, heavier album. We took our signature sound and pushed it to the next level. This is a metal record influenced by doom, rather than vice versa. There's more aggression, more extremes, it's harder-hitting. Zeuss really helped us capture the sound we wanted, the way we truly sound. 'Bloodlines' is huge, brutal, monstrous!"

Track listing:
1. Attrition
2. Midnight Eyes
3. Demonic
4. One Last Nail
5. Down so Low
6. Your Hell Begins
7. With a Blade
8. Of War
9. The Mouth of Madness
10. Embrace Your Nerve

'Bloodlines' is set for release via Relapse Records April 30, 2013. As a precursor to the records official unveiling, Howl will take their metallic doom to the road on a month-long run of live takeovers set to begin next month in New London, Connecticut. Howl will be joined by a host of sonic assassins throughout the tour.

Commended for their distinct brand of furious, bone-crushing, head-splitting doom by MetalSucks, and their huge riffs, excellent tone and an attitude not usually seen in bands with this much groove by Crustcake, Howl unleashed their 'Full of Hell' debut to unsuspecting ears in 2010. Gushed About.com in a near perfect rating of the record: 'Full of Hell' isn't just one of the best metal debuts of the year. It's likely to be one of the best metal albums of the year.

Additional Howl happenings to be announced in the coming weeks.
